Fellows will have the opportunity to meet with prominent mathematicians and practitioners of math outreach, including:

  • Manjul Bhargava, Fields Medalist, Professor of Mathematics at Princeton University, and MoMath’s 2018–2019 Distinguished Visiting Professor for the Public Dissemination of Mathematics
  • Tim Chartier, Davidson College Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science with a specialty in sports analytics; professionally trained mime performer
  • Ingrid Daubechies, James B. Duke Distinguished Professor of Mathematics and Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Department of Mathematics at Duke University and the first woman to be president of the International Mathematical Union
  • Leona Harris, Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at the American Mathematical Society (AMS)
  • Julia Kempe, Director of the NYU Center for Data Science and Professor of Computer Science, Mathematics, and Data Science at NYU’s Courant Institute
  • Alex Kontorovich, Rutgers Math Professor, MoMath Dean of Academic Content, and MoMath’s 2020–2021 Distinguished Visiting Professor for the Public Dissemination of Mathematics
  • Po-Shen Loh, national coach of the United States’ four-time gold medal-winning International Math Olympiad team, Professor of Mathematics at Carnegie Mellon, and founder of multiple math learning platforms
  • Grant Sanderson, creator of 3Blue1Brown, a wildly popular YouTube channel devoted to appreciating and understanding mathematics more deeply by visualizing it
  • Steven Strogatz, Professor of Mathematics at Cornell University, award-winning author, New York Times blogger, and MoMath’s 2021–2022 Distinguished Visiting Professor for the Public Dissemination of Mathematics
  • John Urschel, member of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, recognized in Forbes’ “30 Under 30” for outstanding scientists, and retired NFL player for the Baltimore Ravens 
  • Peter Winkler, Dartmouth Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science, MoMath’s 2019–2020 Distinguished Visiting Professor for the Public Dissemination of Mathematics, and creator of the popular Mind-Benders for the Quarantined series
  • Stephen Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha, and the Wolfram Language
